Prostate MRI

Multi-parametric prostate MRI is the BEST way to evaluate your prostate cancer risk BEFORE you undergo a prostate biopsy.

If you have an abnormal PSA, many experts recommend a prostate MRI before a biopsy. The MRI findings may avoid unnecessary prostate biopsies or provide better information to undergo a targeted biopsy.

In Ontario, MANY CENTRES CHARGE A FEE FOR A PROSTATE MRI.
At Prostaterisk.ca, we can provide a prostate MRI, at NO CHARGE, and in a timely fashion.

This is done under a RESEARCH setting to use this information for future research analyses in helping improve how we understand prostate cancer.

The MRI done in this research study, is THE SAME QUALITY (or better) compared to other conventional MRI’s offered in Ontario.

You will need to sign a research consent form so we can use the data obtained for research analyses, but it will be anonymized.  This study has been approved by a Research Ethics Board at the University of Toronto.
